In collaboration with Katie Hastings Architecture, we set out to create a modernist treasure in the scrubby landscape of North Texas. Our clients were relocating to take over the family cattle ranch, and brought their colorful, quirky aesthetic from Austin. Our team challenged the traditional cattle ranch-inspired norms of the area by responding to the palette of the land and referencing the modern art movements of West Texas and Marfa. Now, the sprawling country estate is vivacious, interesting, and artful.
